We at the Modern Sciences Journal strive to provide a platform for high-quality scientific contributions worldwide. As part of our commitment to ensuring the accessibility and quality of published articles, we have implemented a fee structure to cover the costs associated with processing and translating papers.

Fee Structure

Papers Written in English

Authors submitting papers in English must pay a non-refundable Article Processing Cost (APC) of USD 350.00 upon acceptance of their manuscript and the authors' declaration of intent to pursue publication. This fee covers the cost of editorial work, the peer review process, publication, and article hosting on our platform.

Papers Written in Other Languages (Spanish and Portuguese)

For manuscripts written in languages other than English, specifically Spanish and Portuguese, we require translation into English to ensure the broadest readership and scholarly impact. In addition to the Article Processing Cost (APC) of USD 150.00, an additional translation fee of USD 0.06 per word is applicable. The total fee for papers requiring translation is calculated as the sum of the Article Processing Cost and the translation fee.

Fee Collection

We want to emphasize that submitting your paper to the Modern Sciences Journal is entirely free of charge. Authors will only be requested to pay the applicable fees once a) their paper has been accepted for publication and b) the authors wish to pursue the opportunity to publish with us. The submission process ensures that your work is evaluated solely on its scientific merit, allowing a fair assessment of its suitability for our journal.

Translation, and subsequently the publication process, for papers written in other languages begins once a 50% downpayment of the total fees (article processing cost and translation fees) is paid; the authors may then settle the remaining 50% once the translation has been completed and reviewed with them for any further recommended changes and edits before formatting and publication.

Accepted Payment Methods

We currently accept payments via electronic bank transfers and PayPal. Further details on the payment process, including instructions and deadlines, will be provided upon acceptance of your manuscript.

Refund Policy

Please note that the Article Processing Cost and translation fees are non-refundable. Once the fees have been paid, they cannot be refunded, even if the authors withdraw their paper from the journal later in publication.
